Adjustments
- A chiropractic adjustment involves the use of specific force
in a very precise direction. The force, applied to a joint that
is malfunctioning, helps free up that joint and allow it to move
properly again.
- Chiropractic is considered so
safe that even newborns and children receive adjustments to
correct childhood traumas and improve their overall health.
Vertebral subluxations
- Vertebral subluxations are spinal regions where movements
are restricted or bones (vertebrae) are out of alignment.
- Scientific studies identify vertebral subluxations as predisposing
factors for back pains, as well as many other disorders.
- Chiropractors restore motion to the spine with chiropractic
adjustments, special maneuvers that remove vertebral
subluxations.
Vertebral subluxation comes from stress that may occur in
infancy from a difficult birth or from childhood falls. Later in life,
emotional tension or strews can gradually damage your spine
or violent injuries from automobile accidents or sports can suddenly
knock you "out of whack".
Nearly everyone eventually gets spinal nerve stress. It is a
"hidden epidemic" and it is for that reason that we all need to
have our spines checked for this condition by a doctor of chiropractic
every once in a while, just as we get our eyes, teeth, and blood
pressure checked!
